I can't believe I read this whole post

First off, if I could, I would.

Second, and this is in reference to one of Nym's posts, that hospice line: Hillarious. I really did laugh out load.

Finally, is there an old white lady slangin real estate on this post! And NOONE said SHIT. And she samples!

for pete's sake, you're SAMPLING ALREADY and suddenly you draw the line like "ITS IMMORAL LOL!!!!1111"

downright silly, how many times can you split a single hair?

and no way am i dropping ANY names, public or PM less some Johnny Dollar law-type try to blow my whistle...my deal is far too sweet for that

get this through your thick melons: with me and this store, it's as follows:

option 1 - Nym is a customer, pays record tax, store makes money from him
option 2 - Nym is not a customer, store does not make money from him

is it really that hard to see how dude makes money? if so i pity yalls business....times are too tough for short sighted thinking

I see what ya do and I think that the idea has merit, I think maybe the original poster was not really planning on making a donation(I assume).

I'm just in the process of moving and I only have a few hundred records. But man is it hard to pack up and move them, will the packing company store them right, will it be cool enough etc. I love my records but at the moment they're making life difficult. So being able to have sampled some records and made a donation could be alot more practical at times.

I feel where you are coming from Nym. excellent idea, it's not like he's asking to do it for free, but lets say for $100 a month, you can come in and listen and take as many samples as you need. That's some good money, especially if you have like 5 or 6 customers doing it on the regular. I need to open up a record store and charge by the samples. I'll be with it. I mean if it's a record store it's his records anyway and he can do what he want with them.

not exactly you guy's keep forgetting it's NOT YOUR RECORDS and YOUR STUFF they will be coming to get when they catch you doing this , record store owners have a lot of money and time invested to just let it go like this in to thin air....then again if your dealing with some rich brat that his mommy and daddy bought them this store well be it , but i can guarantee you that this wouldnt be a old time collector or some one thats been in this business for the last 10 yrs.

^^^You Can't "Guarantee" anything EDE. Just because you run YOUR shop like an old curmudgeon doesn't mean that all owners do. Even the Old Heads. Some people have class and insight. I for one think it would be good to have an intelligent, innovative cat like Nym hanging out at the store. You never know when you might need some soldering done.
You come across real bitter man... Like "It must be some Rich Brat if they're about providing aid to the beat community for **SHOCK!** No Money?!?!" Go peddle your Humbug somewhere else.
