Saving problems. 'file not found' 'wrong file'

ive never had "wrong file"...but i get the "file not found" message on both my 1000 and my 2500. but then i just load the samples manually and its fine. im bout to try the jj on my 1000 tho

Instead of saving the project,the sequences and the sample individually, save entire memory to folder. Then when you go to load, load the entire folder, don't try to load everything individually. Also make sure your not saving to the root you must save to a folder that you created.

Update : (incase its helpful to anyone else)

Last week I bought some cf cards, saved the prg.'s to c.f. and the samples to h.d.
bit of a pain saving the prg.'s separately to c.f. but at least they loaded fine the next day.

but then.........

just when i thought all was well.......

ghost triggering .
the daft machine started playing all pads when i hit one.
it didn't happen all the time, but more than twice in a week.
from reading all the problems on this forum, it seems that its almost a 50/50 chance you're gonna have a lot of grief with an mpc2500.
I can see why its so popular, (ease of use, portability, features etc.) but these basic flaws are bordering on criminal.

i have been a loyal akai user for many years and this is the worst product i've ever had the misfortune of owning.
I realise not all the units are like this, but akai really have some explaining to do.

I did the same Still have a MPC fetish though. Akai gotta catch these machines up!
