no sound is coming out of my mpc 1000

i need to know why no sound is coming out only when i rec and trim sound comes out but not on the main screen

place your samples on a pad in the program window, then i the main screen turn on that program. Oh, and read the manual.

damn i forgot there smart asses here let me rephrase myself im not a rookie on the mpc i know most all there is about the mpc and yea the are sounds in the pads its still not making any sound its make sound in trim and rec modes and save and load but not on the main screen

so you've constructed a program, assinged samples to pads and switched to that program in the main screen, and still no sound?

yep no sound is coming out plus i changed to the free jjos and i still haven't got any soundout and i do my research there's things that a manual can't teach u get in a real studio and learn from real people

ok, so describe your physical setup, ie: what connections have you made to the mpc, do you have a mixer? are you using headphones? are your monitors on? etc etc

1. do you have the pads set to the assignable outputs? if so, go into the out screen and change them back to "st".

2. did you check the pad levels in the mixer window?

3. have you turned on your full level button to make sure that you arent just hitting the pads to soft?

4. do you have the samples assigned to the the bank that you are trying to trigger?

all of these things are possibly the problem. you would still hear sound from the trim screen because the output is set to the stereo outs, but when you go back to the main/pgm screen, one of the above is probably the issue. if its not one of these, maybe the pads are shot. but i honestly cant imagine that all them could fail at one time unless its electrical...

i found out what was wrong sum of my pads are messed up mpc 1000 blue version is a bicth thanks tho cozy and mr mod for trying to help instead of being smart lol i wish u well in ur mpc 1000 travels
