How big is your RAM? That might be the problem...

Yea, sucks. I got this the first time I sampled anything into my 500. Just bought it last night, ordered 128 ram, waiting for it to come in. One question for yall who have had this problem. Does it always happen, or is it randomly? Cause the same sample that Stopped abruptly, i loaded up this morn and played it through the 12 note variation and it didn't have any problem. I have OS 1.1, I see from the site they are up to 1.3, did they fix this problem yet, or are we all doomed?

For me, all I did was load up a sound library from Akai, then sampled two 6 sec samples in mono format. Then, on (track 1) I looped the first sample, started playing drums over it. Snare, track 2, Kick, track 3, then the problem came on the high hat on track 4. Sample would play 2-3 sec then cut off.

When i messed with it this morning it was fine thou. Tonight when im home from work Ima start sampling tons of drums from vinyl, I hope this won't mess it up further. In any event, ill prob always sample in mono, and have ordered the 128 Ram, I hope this solves the problem. Cause this peice can be really useful if it all works properly.

yeah, def need the ram. I think it should come standard, becuase you are etxremely limited without it. In the mean time, going into program mode, make sure that all your pads are set to mono and not poly. This will make a big diff.
Be sure to update to the most current OS. Alot of the bugs of the older OS have been worked out.
