what is the best way to change the sample tempo without loosing the integrity of the sample??

i use melodyne plugin to do time stretching when i can't get it the way i want it in the mpc, transfer into DAW, open up Melodyne, and change the tempo there. then transfer back to the mpc thru USB.

i downloaded audacity and it works perfect !! ( and its free ) !!!
