new video: realtime NON timestretch and NON pitch shifting

due to a misnamed video demonstrating Patched Phrase uploaded a year or two ago, there are now dozens of confused people who look for realtime timestretching or pitch shifting features in the 1000/2500. excluding a limited realtime pitch shift effect in jjos, these are not part of what the mpc's offer.

that doesn't mean you can't do something similar (and maybe even sounds cooler).

pretty rad vid nym but i don't have a clue whats going on with it. haha. obviously the jj os full versions chop screens are way different than the free one.
basically its acting like a patched phrase right? as its pitching up segments of a sample rather than the whole dang thing? or am i way off.

actually nothing in this video is necessarily dependent on CHOP. chopping simply got me the 61 pieces of the sample that i was pulling from.

where the real magic happens is in trim and midi grid edit
i enter trim, turn LOOP ON for each sample, and then set the loop to ALTERNATE LOOP
then in MGE i set each note's duration to last the full range up until the next note.

very time consuming way to get your stuff down, but i cannot live without it

yea i dont get that deep into it myself. though i do enjoy watching your vids.
i just dont have the patience to sit there and figure all that stuff out.
im going to hit up the new os soon and sit down and try and get my head around some of the more in depth features. i imagine ill be asking questions on the regular about it.

maybe something like ways of using ghost notes in the MPC? or creative use's with swing? i dont know really. maybe just a video on techniques you use regularly that others might not know about.
