Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hello,

Could anyone tell me the best way to send tracks from a MPC 2000 to a laptop. Would a simple USB midi interface suffice? Or should I go all out and pick up Pro Tools/Mbox?

Many thanks.

if you want to send "notes" to your laptop and work with them with e.g. a vst instrument a midi interface is sufficient, but if you want to send audio to your laptop you should use a audio interface to sample your tracks to the computer

Easy

ahh i see. thanks a lot dude ^^^.

do you have any recommended audio interfaces btw?

im a little reluctant to get an Mbox cuz Pro Tools LE can't run on my MacOSX (3.9)

no prob.

the audio interface depends on what you want to do, a simple m-audio audiophile usb can also fit your needs (MIDI IN/OUT, AUDIO IN/OUT, SPDIF)…

sorry i dont have experience with pro tools, i switched from cubase/nuendo to logic studio 8 on the mac
