What? is there a Low pass2 - i can't see it. anyone else?

I was hoping we had the second filter back - switchable/swapable with the pitchshift .
must be easy to to do ... can't understand why jj wont.
cos then you have the best of both.

mikolo wrote:No,there is no second filter in os2, but in previous versions you could still select "low pass 2" in input thru even though it doesn't exist. JJ's sorted out the graphics so only the actual filters are diplayed and no os1 leftovers.

yeah - i know there's no filter two in os2 - but my heart skipped a beat when for a moment, when i thought JJ had seen the light and added it back again.

I used to use the 2nd filter all the time - now we just have the one filter and this pitchshift thing just sits there, doing nothing for me.

fine for people who want to use it - but why cant we just switch between pitchshift and filter two.
also if you had an lfo for each of them (that could lock to mpc internal clock) think of the live filtering fun you could have.

second filter would be cool, but i don't really need it. plus i like how the filter in os2 sounds. it's much smoother than in os1. and you can make it self-oscilate with hp and bp, too.
but i agree, this timestrech thingy is useless.

i'm talking talking about the filter in the input thru section, not the main filter in GPE
i was also talking about real time pitchshift not timestretch.
please read what i was saying as you obviously haven't .

i'm not advocating an extra filter to select - i'm requesting another additional filter on the input.
ie: so you have one filter on the left input and one on the right input.
if each had an LFO to modulate them - the input signals would be sweep filtered independently.
think of it like a filterbank -like the sherman or mutator etc... and if it could lock to the internal tempo of the MPC this would be a very powerful sound shaping tool.
