2000xl and the 1000 file transfer?

so i have a 1000 or had a 1000 (for when i was traveling) and need to some how transfer my files to the 2000xl .... i f i have a card reader for the 2000xl can i do this with out having to convert or reconfig the samples and sequences? is it "plug and play"? or is there a specific process?

how is the editor these days? i know it had a few bugs a year or so ago?

i didnt think the 2kXL read any of the new data, like 2500, 1000 PGM's. i now it works the other way around though.

i have a lot of samples i got on my 1000 that i cant get since i was overseas this last year... and sampled alot of random albums!

Just use the Trial MPC Editor and convert all your stuff before the 30days it works fine it's taking 1000 files and converting them to XL files for compatibility

Ive tried loading mpc1000 pgms into mpc editor and it doesn't recognize em.

has anybody noticed if when you use the editor if the sound quality changes any? maybe less juicy or more juicy? i am going to download the trail later on thurs so i was just curious
