I finally got my 1000 and it is hot. I am having one problem however. I want the mpc1000 to trigger my mach five plug in that is inside logic audio. I have a midisport 2x2 midi interface goin out of the mpc into my mac. I can trigger the mach five samples with the mpc pads. But here is the problem.. as soon as i hit record on the mpc to make sequences it crashes logic and i get a message saying "logic unexpectedly quit"
any clues to what is going on. thanks for any help!!

thanks. i just gotta get this working. The mpc is tight sequencer wise. The filters are better than the 2000's but still not great. So the machfive with the mpc1000 is the way to go. Mach five sampling engine is fire. And the filters are hot!!! So i just gotta get it working but it wont let me sequence on the mpc without crashing logic... peace

Run your Mach Five stand alone (as if it were a sound module)

Sounds like your midi interface has something weird going on

One of the better ways to use logic with the 1000 is to run midi beat clock out of logic into the MPC - so when you press play in Logic the MPC starts playing - the latency is close to zero so you can write your drum tracks on the MPC and all your other stuff in Logic - but that's just one idea

I use Logic 6 w/ Kontakt and Battery plus Reason

and I have a 1000 and a EMU something or another

thanks. I dont think that machfive can run as a standalone. Thats what i want to do run it as a sound module for the mpc to control. But i think i still must have logic open.
