mixer question

alright i was wondering what the difference in quality would be between a DJ mixer and a regular one(studio mixer?)

i want to be able to sample off my turntable but i dont know if the regular ones can let me do so?

from what i looked at the dj mixers have less knobs meaning less options for sound control and i just want to make sure i can still get a decent mix out of my beats/jack sounds off records

you can sample using a DJ mixer, Studio mixer or no mixer at all (with a phono Pre. I have used all three and havent had a problem with either.

Depends on the mixer/dj mixer/pre... It's not a matter of differences between those categories, it's more a matter of differences between the individual products in those categories.

I'd say you buy a studio mixer if you need the ins/outs on that thing (meaning you got a decent amount of gear you want hooked up and even then you can opt for a good audio interface instead)

Get a dj mixer if you wanna mix or lay down cuts.

Get a good preamp if you just want to sample and nothing more (ie turntable - mpc setup).

Always keep in mind that your needs might change on short term so always think ahead.
