MPC 3000?

You may not have heard of blind people using MPCs but there *are* blind people using MPCs dude.

Honestly...when you look at the facts/compare "bang for buck"....i dont see why buying a 3000 is even a consideration with todays market. must be a dilla thing.

mpc1000 or 2500 would be my choice..the 3000 has not half the features these two machines got..the only arguement to go with the 3000 might be the sound..

why not just buy the S3000xl with the mpc500!
that way you still have that classic 3000 sound.

Does the 3000XL really have the same sampler engine as the S3000 or MPC3000? I don't think it does and the 500 is a piece of shit.

the s3000xl has the same exact sampling engine as the MPC3000 and s3000.... with more editing capabilities. drums are banging like hell coming out of the s3000xl. I stopped using mine because I started having problems with my scsi... recently replaced it with the s5000

Cool.. though I think I'm going with the MPC instead

don't waist your time with the 3000. the only reason dilla and whoever used the 3000 is cause thats what was the newest tech at the time and they know it in and out so they don't need to move on. If you are just starting it would make sense to get whats best now and not get a piece of * just because it used to be cool 14 years ago. dealing with old hardware and zip discs is just stupid and non-efficient compared to the newer MPC's out there. the whole sound argument is not a big deal either. the new ones sound cleaner and you can just eq the tracks later in cubase or whatever you use. I'd rather make 5 tracks a day than 1 "good sounding track" a day.

i agree..compared to the features , the "difference" in sound doesnt count at all, the new models sound good!!

2 BIG reasons to get the mpc 3000

1. It was last mpc Roger Linn built. I've got one and it's damn near bulletbroof.
