Either "Mute Track" or "Mute Group". Try each one and see if it works for you. Both are in the manual, also.

You need to have different tracks. Track one = mute one. Track two = mute two, and so on.

its cool dude. me and eimer is some of the "nice" cats on here. lol

ok, track mute button is right below the pad bank "C" button. when you click it, 12 little dots will appear on your screen under the words, "Track Mute." (12 dots=12 pads on the 500)
when you see this screen, tap the pad(s) that you want muted. and there you go, those tracks will be muted.(pad 1=track1, pad 2=track2, and so on....)

well thats basically the only way possible. unless u must have done your drums, hi hats and snares all on the same track? this is how it's suppose to go down. (ok, drums=tr1, hi hats=tr2, snares=tr3. say, you want your hi hats and snares muted, which are on tr2 and tr3. hit track mute and tap pad 2 and 3.click play and the ONLY track that should be playing is tr1, which are the drums.) if you've tried this already, check to see if you havent layed down all your samples onto one track. if not, then i honestly have no idea....hope it works.

aight, i used to do the same thing when i first started using the 500. and i had to start the whole beat over. lol

umm, i explained probably the best i could. i'd look in the manual, still, if i couldn't explain good it enough.

or just pm some other expierieced user on here.

copy the track 5 times, then go through and delete the sounds that you want to discard for each track, so just leave kick on 1, snare on 2, hihat on 3 etc.
then do your mutes
it is quite easy to get carried away and do everything in one track
