Beat Making on the MPC 500 - Is it worth it?

Hey Kids,

I have had the 500 for a while now and its good, but I haven't had much time to tuck into it or fully explore the manual. Recently I have noticed that I have a hard time chopping on it as it takes quite a long time, so I have started chopping on the computer and exporting to the mpc. Anyway, I am thinking about buying the Beat Making on the MPC 500 book, what do you guys think of it?
Is it worth the money?

you get quite a bit for your money. so it's worth it if you want to get an edge on the learning curve. tutor makes this e-books very easy to understand.

I'm halfway through the e-book, and the lessons are sticking. Well worth the $.

The book on the MPC 500 is worth every penny! Not only the basics are covered, but a lot of advanced techniques as well. Then there is a library of examples: sequences, samples, programs and projects, you can have a look at and analyze.

The original manual really sux, but it is also worth to read it sometimes, especially when you don't remember how to reach a function.

The whole MPC interface is extremely simple and easy to use once you master it.

Ebook is well worth the money.

Its funny too cause I thought the manual sucked first time round but the more I revisit it the more I realise that there is just so much to take in at first as the machine is so deep...

Hell yeah its worth it. Not sure If I know advanced techniques, I pretty much figured out most of the machine, or at least the things that I usually need to make a beat. I don't think it takes long to cut samples either, you go off ear instead of visual wav form, you can still cut it just as quick then any mpc. Im a big fan of the thing so far....I'm pretty simplistic so all I need is a bunch of samples, bunch o drums, and I'm making what I want. The 500 is def underratted
