How do you filter out the drums in a sample
on the 2000xl. Does this require the eb 16 board?.

That is a retarded question, but you are new.

MPC is a digital recorder that you can edit and arrange with... not a genie in a bottle... you will have to find samples that are "solo" sections of the sounds you want

You have to take samples of drums that are just drums (or primarily drums)... An MPC cannot "strip, separate, or filter" out any sounds that are blended within a song.

The MPC can filter sounds, but it will still be the entire section you sampled. If you have drums, bass, and vocals, there is no way an MP can separate these. Either you have to do it manually by pre-eqing your sample, or dig for vinal that has sections and sounds you need that are all by themselves.

actually, if you stare at the grublets avatar for long enough, the drums will fade out automatically.

if you want to chop up different instruments/notes out of the same sample you should look in to celemony.

read the manual and see what your machine has to offer you, and then you'll have a good answer for yourself.

^^^^^^ lol.

we got new smilies

but for real, you need to find that stuff isolated or you could put extra drums under those ones that are already there.
