Thinking of upgrading to a mpc 4000 cos the o.s can do al kinds of things my 3000 can't but i don't want to lose my phatt 3000 sound quality ..... what do u think?

Maybe go pickup or try a z4 or z6 rack to see if your alright with the way it sounds. The 4000 is supposedly using the z4/z6 sample engine.

I'm curious: What kinds of things do you need you sampler to do to make music? I know it depends on the music you make, the style and such, but what are you looking for in the 4000?
