Check to see if you got the swing on 1/8-1/16/-1/32. I had the same problem once. Set the timing correct to off, then the mp will record the samples just as you play them. Real spit, I've been using the 1/16 TC and its beautiful. Thats that legendary mp swing that the 60,3000,1000,4000,2500,2000 got. Plus,my dads a drummer for real. Been one for all his life. I know alot of drummers and most always play off beat. You can't quantinize a human, hittin them snares,kick,hi--hats come from the inside. So try turning off time correct, find your swag, you'll get it. Also, when you get real tight try switching up the time signature for some real ****. Make a hit or get hit. One. WOW. I cant even tell you how thankful I am of this info... I been having the same problem just like the guy who started this thread. Just last night I felt like breaking my MPC!!! I have some sick sample on my MPC but when I would hit the pads in record then heard it after... Hmmmm Didnt sound the same.

But now this ish works man. For reals thanks. Now I can go back to getting creative with my samples.

I have only had the MPC500 for a week now so Im still in the learning process.
