No...that will only record the midi notes, not the actual audio. So, in addition to the midi to usb, you'll need to
connect audio out (MPC) to audio in (on computer interface).

It's not the clearest way by far. I have PT, so the MBOX is my interface. It sounds like your just
using a soundcard. Instead of mic in, try the line in. Do sime research on soundcards if you don't have
a good one. A shytty sound card, makes for shytty sounds

yea that def isnt a good way to go you can experience things like latency and bad sound quality

an interface would greatly help

for a cheap one you could go

presonus firebox (usually around 249 new 200 used)
presonus firepod/fp10 (lots of ins and outs) around 300 used for the firepod the fp10 (which is the same but newer) goes for 350 used (usually)

or you could try an all in one mixer combo (this is what i use)

mackie onyx 1620 w/ firewire interface built into the mixer (but its kinda expensive) around 800$ but your getting a great 16 channel mixer and firewire interface (its sold seperatly)

they also make an onyx 12 channel which you can put the firewire interface into.

there is also cheaper solutions than the ones listed (even for mixer/interface combos) but get one with firewire

or you could go the sound card route but i have no experience with that.
