Getting a 2KXL in a few days off ebay, how can I test it?

Hey everyone, I just ordered a 2kxl off of ebay, no modifications for about 500, the problem is that I don't know how to test it when i get it. I don't have any equipment as of yet, what can you suggest to make sure everything is working properly?. Especially the sampling part because I have no turntables as of yet, should I spend some money to get a turntable or is there a way around it?

Also...stupid question, do I need monitors to hear the sound for testing. Please forgive me, first of all, this is just a hobby I am getting into, just starting as soon as I get it, so bear with me for my stupid questions

theres some screen you can get to in order to do tests but i forget how to do it im not infront the mp rite now
