Save All Programs And Samples.
Save All Seq and Songs
Save Entire Memory.

Dont overwrite your saves, create new seperate folders each time.

maybe you saved the sequence only, remember to load your drums and stuff too.

In "Save to" it always has ROOT as the default. click open window and select new folder. name the folder. this folder should be in the "save to" slot where ROOT was. now save program with all samples then save song and all sequences. If you are going to add to an existing beat that folder can be fond be hitting the right cursor from ROOT and then scrolling to it. It will be in alphabetical order. then do the same thing except in save program and samples you want to replace existing files. and resave all songs and sequences again. thats all I do. I used to save entire memory and projects and found I didn't make a difference. I'm sure it fills some function. The key is to make a folder.

to be on the save side NEVER overwrite any files, because this is when most of the filesystem errors occur.
instead make a new folder everytime - if you run out of space on the cf-card then delete old folders - this way you can also always jump back easily to an older version of the beats...

same reason i'd give jj os answers in the 1000 forum - it's applicable.

if someone is experiencing a bug in their machine that another program DEDICATED for that machine fixes, i sure know i'd wanna hear about it. especially if the alternative involved unnecessary roundabout workarounds

well in that case then, there should only be one forum.

OR

you should give a 2500 standard OS solution as well, otherwise threads can be left with no official solution.

outta curiousness, are you part of the JJ partnership? or jus' a fan boy who is lining the pockets of others?

dont mean to rant....

well, there being only 1 forum is only the tip of the iceberg here - if we're talking shoulds, there should really only be 1 os.

unfortunately, there is no solution in the akai os for the 2500, just a workaround.
believe me, i've been there and done that in 2006 since the same bug is/was in the 1000.

i've given the official solution -- actually, the ONLY solution - lose the factory no-ess.
as for me, i'm just a beta tester with answers who's seen both sides of the coin and knows which one to call

c'mon, someone out there knows. Im thinking of just sampling the whole song through the SP and then putting it on the comp, cause when i save in SEQ it comes up as some weird file, and MID plays the wrong sounds.

Any help help would be really appreciated.

You need to record the outputs of your mpc, so connect them to the inputs of your sound card.

Right. There are lots of free ones out there, try hitsquad.com or dontcrack.com

Also some home work to understand the basics of MIDI and audio recording is essential.

Peace.
