Note Repeat...

I have an MPC500.
Is there I way to have "Note Repeat" working if the "Timing Correct is set to off??? For some reason on my MPC500 "Note Repeat" only works when its on???

Is this a bug or is that just the way things are?

Yeah Im sure I can switch it the "Timing Correct" on back to normal but Im just curious cuz if I could then it would make it alot easier.

if you want use the note repeat function it has to be set to some of the aviable tc settings or else there is no note repeat.
this is logical to some degree, because note repeat repeats the pad you pushed in a rhythmical way and therefore has to be set to some rhythm measurement 8th, 16th, etc...
however you can use multiple timings on the mpc 1000 and 2500 by pushing the f1 to f6 buttons while the sequence is playing or recording so you are not stuck with only one rhythm figure. (i´m not sure if the mpc 500 has the f buttons).
you can also set the tc to any value you want to get some settings in between the standart 8th, 8triplets, 16th, 16triplets, etc...
you can also use different tc settings for each track, because changing the setting only affects the active track. so if you have a track recorded with tc on 16th, swing at 60% and then switch to the next track you can set the tc back to off without changing the recorded notes on track 1.
but to answer your original question (if i have not done so, yet) yes, that is the way things are...
