You don't have to leave it on. Just saving is enough. if Autoload doesn't work, manually loading your saved files will serve too.

Which OS do you use?

As far as I know there are 3 possibilities:
1. Autoload is case sensitive. Check your capitals.
2. You can tell the MPC1000 from which memory to Autoload: internal memory, CF card or harddisk. Does this match with the memory location you saved to?
3. You can turn Autoload on and off. Is it off?

......back to on.

this thing is complicated.....It is so different than any of my other samplers.....
I am also having trouble slicing samples...

after I sample...I go to mode, trim....slice...select region....

when I say "do it"...
it will always say...inciftiant memory....
I am using a fresh 512 card...do I have something set wrong???
.......why wont it slice.......where is my cf memory???????

...god, damn!

Don't confuse the memory of your cf card (or harddisk or internal memory) with ram memory. Your card is a storing device, like a harddisk or a usb-stick. You have to load the samples into RAM memory to use them.
I think you're short of RAM memory. Maybe you've loaded to much samples.

If you start the MPC a screen will tell you how much RAM is installed. Standard it's 16 MB, I believe. The MPC can have max 128 MB RAM, read on this forum how to upgrade. It's in the 'stickies.'

BTW 1. I think most hardware samplers work this way, or are you referring to software samplers?

BTW 2. You could get more help if you stop cursing and shouting in capitals.
