Connection problems

Alright so here's my problems:

1. I already hooked up my E-mu sound module to my keyboard (Juno 106 synth). None of the knobs on the keyboard work, it only plays the sound from the E-mu. How do I get it to work if possible?

2. I have an MPC 2000xl just laying around, I want to connect it with my set up, but have no idea what i need it for. I've seen videos where you can play the sound from the sound module? But then why would i do that since i already have a keyboard. Unless i want to chop it up or use the MPC effect board. I'm thinking, i want to use the MPC and sound module for it's drum sample.

Anywho since i already connected the sound module to my keyboard and say, I want to connect my MPC also..what would that do?

Alright, i connected everything to sync. My next question is, I feel a lag. To test this, When the metronome is playing from Reason, i hit the MPC pad to follow the metronome with a hi-hat and it doesn't match up. There's a slight lag. Any solution to this?

Also, when i hit record on the MPC why does it say wait for Midi. Is there a way where i can hit the record on the MPC and it'll record on Reason?
