QUICK ? About editing a samplein the 2500

Ok I create a sample but I want it to have a release on the pads I'm tuning them correctly but not getting the right release when I let go. Do I just need to keep re chopping or is there a way for me to program a release maybe I'm looking for the wrong term in the manual.

one shot or note on for the sample (hint: look at the window button)
or
envelope settings (hint: move the cursor in program mode and have a look at the window button)
