what is the pitch set at for that particular pads params? it maybe be up high or low, and preventing 16 levels from working.

if in doubt - save and reset

I've just tried shifting the pitch right down from within the program screen and the trim screen but 16lvls seems to work okay for me - I can still shift the tuning all the way up to 13. Perhaps it's an OS problem? what version are you running?

well i have found a way to get the 16 levels working... i am running 1.07
the solution i found is to go into the Params and change the tune level to abut -40 or at least thats what i set it too

Hmmmmmmmmm, I found this funny that when I had my MPC 2000, I could tune the samples directly in 16 levels mode, but when I got my 2000XL, it wouldn't work....

works sweet for me, have you tried it on a few different samples?

yeah it seems to be random for some reason? but i can useually get it to go to 12 before i load the samples in and then i just leave it at 12.... sometimes it works some times well it wont do anything...
