Surprises me a lot that said "FUSE" was not checked/fixed when your unit went into the repair shop a while back. ( mind you, easy to miss or avoid all together if not requested as part of a customer work order )
Any TV/RADIO/HIFI tech could replace the fuse in about 10 minutes having never seen the machine before.
Circuit descriptor F901 on the SCSI board. ( at worst, this and the TERM POWER regulator )
Standard through hole component replacement affair ...
With the info present in this forum the repair should not be too hard.
If you're not a tech and don't have soldering experience ... tread with caution.
Who ever ends up replacing your SCSI fuse eventually; is well advised to fit a "POLY FUSE" type as outlined in a link within one of my previous posts in this thread.
A "POLY FUSE" type if blown in future will simply re-set once the problem passes.
BTW: I had to replace the SCSI fuse in my own MPC3000 a while back when things went crazy on the test bench in my lab.
So, where the SCSI fuse is concerned... you are not alone on distant planet.
It's a common problem. ( AKAI used a cheap shit SCSI TERM POWER fuse in many of their products )
Get the problem with your MPC3000 SCSI board dealt with is my suggestion.
Then all your drives will function fine with the MPC3000.
