i know that most places are charging $180.00 for the upgrade, i just paid $133.30 including shipping and handling, and mn sales tax. they are back ordered, but i saved $50, or $100 since i was going to have them sent overnight from mpcstuff.com.

just thought that i would put that out there for people.

oh sh!t, what a bummer!
I saved a ridiculous amount on my 128ram with a bit of research too, was like $30-35 a couple years ago from pacific memory i think it was, that's in Australian dollars by the way, so around $25- 30 US. That pisses and sh!ts all over the $75 US they askin for it usually.

not at all. i shop at the guitar center in golden valley mn. at first the guy couldnt find the part number, but he said that it was indeed in the system. so go ahead. the backorder sucks though, there is no solid date for a delivery. might be a week, might be a month, might be 6 months. what can ya do though??

i called the local guitar ceneter and asked them about this, they said its selling for $180 but if they saw your reciept they would price match it, i directed them to this post and that scanned reciept, and they then got back on the line and said they are not obligated to price match their own prices, and to try calling the gc location you got it from, so i called gc in mn using the number off your scanned reciept and they said it was a mistake and that they could sell it to me for $200!!!???

so back to square 1....nobody knows shit about shit
and clearly guitar center are **** noobs

that is some f'n bullshit. you would think that gc would market this thing at a lower price to sell more units. i didnt even try to bargain with the guy, so i assumed that it was store price. i wonder if they are going to try to f*&k me over and give me the original pads.

i explained to the guy that there were the pad fix, which were individual pads, and a pad upgrade kit, which was completly different.

we'll see. if they give me the old pads, i will return that ish and get my money back.
