Still Can't Burn My Song from my 4000

Ok i have been reading all around the site about how to bring my song mixdown to my computer but i still cant figure it out. I guess maybe i just dont understand what "aksys" is!!
can someone please explain to me the easiest way to burn my song. Thanks!!

Have you got the manual ? Have you read it?

If you keep starting threads with 'how do I........' ? and such like, your gonna get flamed sooner or later.

Five steps to successful understanding of MPC features

1. Read the relevant part of the manual several times.
2. Try it out on the MPC (several times).
3. Did it work? Yes (Great!) No (go to step 4), Still not working? (go to step 5).
4. Search the forum for advice on the topic. Find it and repeat step 2.
5. Ask for specific help on the forum, stating what steps you have already taken to empower yourself. Then repeat step 2 again.

Steps 1 and 2 are the most important of these, as they eliminate the need for further steps.

Without Reading the Manual (which I also Recommend) here is your answer.. The Mpcs Cd Burner does not burn songs mixdowns or anything of that nature, it is for burning all the data (samples, programs, sequence) to either save your songs so if your mpc hard drive goes down or you want to format you can reload/backup your stuff or it is for loading new sounds on the mpc, or sample off of cds..
To record your tracks onto a computer you must connect the main out of the MPC to an audio interface that is connected to you computer, then you open whatever computer recording software that you use hit record on that, then play on your mpc, and then stop recording when your song is done.. That is pretty much it.
Ak.sys is not a recording program, I guess a very simple way to explain what it does, it is basically a task manager for the mpc, and also is a very easy way to copy your mpc hard drive to you computer. Hope this helps Josh
