Hey all,

I've been learning the art of music production on the 1000 for a while now (3 months)and am learning new stuff all the time.

Just recently I have become aware of The Blue box application that allows you to load your samples into programs on your pc and then you can drop them into the mpc via usb.

My problem is that sometimes the program I have created in blue box is easily loaded into the mpc from my flash card but at other times tyhe additional programs i have created are transfered perfectly onto the cf card but when i try to load it as a program the machine says FILE DOES NOT EXIST, i've tried loads of times and there seems to be an error (probably mine) the samples are all in the cf and will play and can be assigned manually but it seems maybe the file that has all of the details of the program i.e. where the samples go on the pads etc isnt being read. Now generally the first program i produce on blue box which is allways called New program as the file name works but its when i try to load a new set of sounds on a seperate program that i get this FILE DOES NOT EXIST Message. I thought it might be because both program files are called NEW PROGRAM but when i try to change the name of the second i get the same problem

Can anyone help?Yesterday I spent 4 hours trying to rectify the problem and it really made me mad, I went throught the search function but cant find anyhting?

Thanks

James

this is just a guess. put the program file that you made in the same folder as the samples you have for that program. i

used bluebox to make a bunch of programs and i just made sure to keep things very organized. to change the name of
your second program, i would try just right clicking it and doing it that way. make sure to do file>new everytime you make a new program on bluebox. i don't know if this really helped but i know how annoying what your going through can be so hopefully it will.
