Hey everyone, I am brand new to the MPC scene but have been messing around with beats for a while. I have my mind set on music right now. I plan on going to music production school in FL at Full Sail. Anyways, I have used FL studio, Reason, Adobe Audition, and so much software for music production. I'm looking to get into MPC's though. Do samples come on the MPC such has drums, hats, snares, and also strings and stuff for melody? I'm not really worried about melody because I also own a yamaha MM6. Also, im guessing the 4000 is the newest? Will the 2500 be good for me?

4000 is older, 2500 is newer. 5000 is newest

Yes, Most of the newer MPC's come with a flash card loaded with some generic samples. In choosing which MPC it all depends on what exactly you need it for. The MPC 1000 is a good place to start.
