Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I really don't know how to address this problem,

I use the MPC xl as the sequencer, keyboard as a slave and 2 modules.
When I record my drums in Tr: 01-Track-01 S: MIDI : 1A-Device01
then i'll lay my piano tracks Tr: 02-Track-02 S: MIDI : 6A-Device06, how come my drum changes to a piano sound. I can't get it to stay as the drums. Or vice versa. I know that my "1A-Device01" is my channel for my module. Any suggestions?

More info please. Where do the drums come from, where the piano? Do you record it all from the MPC pads of through a MIDI keyboard? What channels are your drum and piano programs set to?

All my sounds come from the module. Yes i do record my track from the MPC pads and/or the midi keyboard. My MoPhatt module is in MIDI : 1A-Device01 to 16A-Device16 and my audigy module is from MIDI : 1B-Device01 to 16B-Device16. But when i record my bassline from the Mophatt in Tr: 01-Track-01 S: MIDI : 1A-Device01
then i'll lay my synth track Tr: 02-Track-02 S: MIDI : 6A-Device06, my bassline sound changes to the current synth. Kinda get what i'm trying to say here?

Ok, drums and piano come from the same module. You have to set your module to Performance/Multi/Sequence or whatever mode it is called, so it can play different programs at once. Also assign a MIDI channel (1 and 6 I assume) to each of the programs.

Right now it is probably set to a Single mode and to receive all MIDI channels, so whatever program is active at the moment will be played, and none else.
