Cut midinotes second trie,, need your thoughts on this one

I want to cut single midinotes in a graphical way.
Lets say i have a program with some chopped of peaces of a breakbeat loop.
And i recorded a track like this

Boom tak tsikke tsikke boom tak tak.

In the grid of seq edit it looks like this:

Pad 1_______________

Pad3 _____________





Pad 8 _______________________


As you see some of the notes have overlapping parts,, this sounds very annoying,, so you want to cut of the (the end) parts of the midinotes so that every peace of the loop stops when the next one starts wich
makes the grid look like this:

Pad 1_____________

Pad3 ________




Pad 8 _______________________



What is the easiest way to do this,, now that there is no cut function in seq edit????????

Humm this site changes the lines,,, press quote to see the correct positioning of the lines wich illustrate the midinotes in the grid.

use duration,
step edit,
highlight note and push window key & change the length,
play it again to better ur skills
,or just program it
move or copy/ cut notes/note ,
set up mute goups(pitch),
oneshot(zone page) poly 1(pitch ) in program
,trim your samples to the beat division you want the to play at............................ETC

The duration function sucks,, because you never know when have found the exact point where you want the note to be cutted. The mpc has such a nice graphical display.


What i do now is go to program--)misc and the polyphony to 1. But that way you cant use any othere sounds of that program together, so you would have to make other programs and shit wich is a little to timeconsuming for such a basic function.

I think you guys have a totaly different way of making music then me, because a shortcomming got to be freaking you out when making music like me.
