hey everyone so i just got the mpc 1000 and here are a few problems im having and hoping someone can help out.

1. How can i make it so when i am playing a sample on the pads that the sample only plays for as long as my finger is pressing on it or stop when i play the same pad again so they dont overlap eachother?

2. IF my 128 sound library card that came with it doesnt upload all sequences and songs when i ask it to is it because of the soundcard or the mpc?

3. When i playback a sequences ive saved to my memory card it is scrambled and not the same as it was before, what are some of reasons for that?

thank you soo much for anyone that can help me, ive been slavin over this thing for a couple weeks tryin to figure this out.

1. from the main screen scroll down to prgm so its highlighted hit window key then hit a pad you want, scroll down highlight the sample you want to do it to, hit window again highlight to where it says one shot then turn the wheel note on. 2 i dont know what your really sayin. 3. when you save a sequence you have to save the program u used in the song separate so when you go back to load up a song you load your program(w/all your samples) then load up a sequence.

Use "Save entire memory" every time (or until you grasp the concept)... don't need to scratch your head too much.

Maybe you haven't got enough RAM memory to load 128 MB.

2) I had the same problem, so i had to put all of the sound library on my computer, i already had a 2gb CF card, so i used the 2gb cf to put whatever sounds i wanted, then loaded them once on the OS, but like the last guy said, i only can get a few samples to load, then insufficient memory pops up, until i get 128 ram.
