question for the people using a firepod with their 8 outs

how do u have everything connected?i'm using a firepod and mpc2000xl with 8 outs and i'm trying to record into my DAW ...........but when i do it only records my main stereo outs and i want 8 seperate tracks..........i have my 8 outs all set up in my mixer window and i'm only getting 1 track ......its probably something simple i'm overlooking..i recently used my 8 outs so i know they work......could be bad cables(brand new) ,but how can all 8 be bad?......any help

Try going into your mixer screen in your MPC and hit open window on a few feilds.

are all your channels in the daw in record mode?

yea everything set up right but i'm still getting no signal...........i'm gonna rerturn the snake tomorrow and get a new 1

You don't have your main outs connected do you? If you do, it will send every sound to them including ones that have been assigned an 8 outs channel. Therefor, it will sound like it's only recording your stereo outs.
