mpc 1000 pad and jjos

I was currently looking at vst intruments, its a shop in Pasadena California, on there web site it says that before replaceing pads you must have your system operating on v 2.11, is this true? and if so i am currently running jjos 4.99 can i downgrade to v 2.11 and then go back to jjos v 4.99 i cant remember thanks guys.

they mean for those people that haven't found out about the jjos yet. basically any akai os before 2.1 isn't compatible with the new pads, and requires an upgrade.

Yes, go ahead and get the pad upgrade, there is an os out there that you can use.
