Hello,
I am trying to figure out how to effectively transfer my mpc 1000 JJ OS files to my MPC 5000. I have been told that the format does not transfer to the 5000. Is there an e-mail address I can get at to see what JJ recommends? Or, can anyone answer that for me with a viable solution? I am ready to sell my 1000, but would like to keep the songs in my 5000. Please help me, I'm desperate!
Thanks,
Andrew

Damn man...What is JJ's e-mail.....I would like to know if there is hope for it...Also, what if I switch back to orginal OS on the 1000?

we don't post jj's email on the website because it causes a TON of spam to fly at the webmaster.

also, i will tell you that making the files between the 5000 and the jjos compatible is unfortunately not going to happen: it would require cooperation between Akai and JJ, which is not on today or tomorrow's horizons. the best solution would be to transfer as audiotracks.

if you're willing to rebuild programs on the 5000, you could always try saving sequences as midi files and moving those between machines.
you'd lose all your qlink stuff, but you'd at least have notes and velocities and durations from your old programming.
still a lot of work, but it might beat starting from scratch.
