I addition to that, you can layer 4 sounds per pad, which makes for a total in excess of 16000 sounds in memory at once.

Unfortunately they will be pretty short with 128 Mb to share... :D

Amazing. . .

what a great tool for making new drum sounds. . . does anyone know if there is a program that you can do this easily in on for mac?

I know there is a MPC 1000 editor for mac. Does it allow you to load 4 samples onto each pad and preview them all from the software?

Thanks, Ben :)

i have found that no PC/Mac software program building application is as fast as building a program from within the MPC itself. just make sure you're running one of the proper os's

also if 64 isn't enough for you, you can use internal program changes to access a further 35 programs!(or a further 64 on os 2.11 whatever)
JJ OS allows a total of 99 programs, of course you only have 64 tracks and 32 notes of polyphony but still very, very useful .
I think in theory with the (JJ only) simult sequence you should be able to have all 99 running simultaneously (polyphony aside), but i haven't tried it.
