would these only last for that many plays as well? It says they are one-off records. I want them to sound gritty but I dont want to much noise so they just sound like ****. Would this be worth buying or is it not even worth it?
A one-off record is just another name for a dubplate. One-offs, dubplates, etc. are all made of acetate and all have short lifespans. The rule of the duplate is that the more you play it, the grittier it gets.
Some dj's play nothing but their own dubplates because they prefer the grittier sound. So, it's all up to you if it's worth it or not. If it's only $50 why not give ONE a try and see what you think? It's a pretty inexpensive learning curve.
