About MPC 2000XLs and Voltage

I'm seeing a lot of threads concerning 2K XLs and their voltage, and whether you can hook them into the wall without using a step down / step up transformer. And I also see a lot of people saying that the MPC can be used in any country, and that there is no need for a transformer. I just want to say that before listening to these people and hooking your MPC into the wall, you should proceed with caution and check what the label says on the back of the MPC. If it says 120V, then you're going to need a step down transformer if you are in a country that has 220V sockets. If you still hook your MPC into the wall without using a Step Down, you may fry the system and your MPC will be ruined. I'm writing this since I just managed to power up my MPC myself, using a Step Down.

In conclusion, make sure the MPC can handle any voltage before actually hooking it into the wall.

Thank You. I hope people finally realize that just because THEIR MPC is multi-voltage, not everyone else's are. So by telling people that they don't need a step down could ruin their MPC.

If they are THAT gullible to believe everything they hear (without checking up on their expensive machine) then they deserve to have their shyt blown up. :D

I almost was that gullable lol, I was just so anxious to use my MPC that I actually considered hooking it into the wall without a step down. Thank God I didn't

Glad you actually "thought" about it. Cause that anxiety will hurt your feelings and leave you mpc-less.

I can't even imagine how pissed off I would be at myself. First I send 825 dollars to a guy to get my first MPC and he rips me off. Half a year later when I can finally afford a new one, I fry it by hooking it into the wall LOL :lol:

THAT'S messed up. He'll burn in hell no doubt. When sending money to anyone or anywhere you should
ALWAYS go through proper channels, ie. paypal, escrow, something secure ya know. I recently straight sent a money order BUT I had a feeling I could trust the person. Come to find out, EVERYTHING went smoothly and I got my goods, money order got to it's destination well and fine and all is well. Normally I would never have done that. I'm happy though, the whole transaction was flawless. But in your case, that's MESSED up that happened to you.

yeah I'm kinda hoping he will lol. I did make the payment through paypal, but here's the thing; after I hadn't recieved my MPC for a while, I checked the eBay FAQ about how to report it to paypal. Ebay told me that you had to wait 45 days, and AFTER that report it to Paypal. So I was like shit, I have to wait like 10 more days before I can even report it? So 10 days later, I file a complaint to Paypal and they close my case. When I asked them why, they told that you had to report things like that BEFORE 45 days have passed. I've reported it to eBay aswell and they say they've taken legal action and all that bullshit, but I don't think I'll ever get my money back, kinda sucks. Anyway I learnt a hard lesson, hopefully I won't be making the same mistakes again, and hopefully all those internet frauders will have their dicks chopped off. I even called the guy, and this chick called Denica picks up the phone. So I asked her where my MPC was, and she was like "Oh that's my roommate using my account, he's out right now but I'll tell him you called". So I tried calling the day after and Denica didn't pick up the phone. So I called from a private number instead an hour later and she picks up the phone, only to let me know that the guy who sold me the MPC was out again, and he was the time after that, and the time after that, so I gave up.

thanks. even though it was a lot of money it's hard to care anymore, especially since I can't to anything about it. And I've finally got my MPC, so no worries 8)
