Hey all
The New Model MPC 1000 has a Manufacture Fault with the Compact Flash Card Slot
all of the pins in slot should be the same length just like any compact flash card slot for computers though they are not some of the pins stick out longer than the majority of the pins with even a few that are shorter tha the majority of the pins this is a manufacture fault that akai is already saying they know nothing about.you need a good magnfier to see this or take out the board with compact flash slot on it and look at the rear of card holder you will see some pins are pushed in further than the majority with the odd one or more not pushed in enough.what this causes is pins to break or bend in slot and stuff your MPC 1000 this i know as i have 3 new model ones that all have this problem i cotacted akaipro via their message system as i purchased when back in the US now i,m in Australia so they had the local akai dude here contact me once i told him i purchased back home in the US have not heard from him since he just fobbed me off.
so to anyone who has suffered bent or broken pins and ended up with a stuffed MPC 1000 its not your fault.Looks like Akaipro is trying to ignore this Fu#*UP as well.
