Copying sequences - extra bars?

There is one thing that bugs me: whenever I try to copy (part of) sequences, I always get two extra bars in the end. Does anybody know how I can avoid that? Thanks in advance!

what's your process? as simple as seq edit, copy bars?

typically i do a little longer of a method to do that, i insert blank bars w/ seq edit, and then i just use copy/paste in MGE to drop the copy in...

I usually improvise one long sequence, that I then split into smaller ones. But the fact that it adds two bars to every copy really slow down the process.

this never happened to me...
