Bullshyt. If you know how to make hot beats than you can make hot beats on just about anything with out knowing the machine inside and out.

if all you can do is "cut and paste", vs. the dude that can fully utilize his machine, i'd say the one who knows his machine is more likely to produce a better sound (again, this is subjective).

Sometimes y'all need to take the confusion out the mix and listen to music like consumers, not producers. The final result of what we do is to make other people enjoy what we do. We make our music for the consumers. Right now, Boon Doc is killing the YouTube counters with his video which means people enjoy his music. Jel and Damu are being spoken about on this page by other people which means people know about their music. If your not on their level then you really don't have much to openly say about it. Opinions are expected, and you may be a better producer then any of the above, but that should make you step your game up to be where they are. Personally I got videos on youtube that barely gettin' clicked, so how would I look criticizing boon's production? Seriously, does that really make sense?
PS. Jel is pretty damn amazing on the live tip tho..I bet his gigs are a lot more interesting than the usual "play the cd and rap" underground shows.

The guys IS NOT doing anything special, trust me. its just you are a novice and get hyped by what he does. Whe you get good you will realize he is not doing anything special.

and then i like to sit back and listen without looking and i think to my self "is this good music ?"

Straight up... if it ain't one of the producers that I look up to (i.e. Primo, Pete Rock, Hi-Tek, Nottz, RZA, Pharrell, Kanye etc.)... or someone that I personally know and respect... I could care less if some aspiring producer thinks I'm wack lol....

okay... 2 years from now... To all the cats who are so "high n' mighty" and believe they can compare and rate everyone else.... we better see ya'll out there making some moves soon!!!
