Lol, is that really the same person :wink:

Ok, with the MPC as the master, you want to sync that to Reason and be able to use your Axiom to play the Reason instruments, with the resulting output from Reason going into your MPC for recording ?

Connections:
Axiom connected to PC via USB
MPC Midi out A -> PC Midi In
PC audio out -> MPC Record in

Settings:

Open Reason
Click on Edit -> Preferences
In the drop down menu, select 'Keyboards and Control Surfaces'
Click 'Auto Detect' that should automatically find your Axiom keyboard
Make sure the check box 'Use with Reason' is selected.
Now select 'Advanced Control' from the top drop down menu.
Select your midi port in the drop down menu at the bottom 'Midi Clock Sync'
Close preferences
Click on Options -> Sync and make sure Midi Clock is ticked
That should be Reason and the Axiom ready to go.

MPC
Click Mode -> Pad 9 -> F2 ('sync')
Select 'Sync Out' and set to All(Master)
Select 'Mode' and set to Midi Clock

To record into MPC just have your Audio out in Reason routed to the Record in on the MPC

your a genius dude.i did everything you told me and everything works but now the reason sounds are coming from my mpc and recording when i try to program some drums from the mp.how do i just get the mp to record just the keyboard reason sounds and not have the sounds from reasons play on the mpc. what im trying to to say i dont want the reason sounds to come from the mp but rather from the keyboard to record on the mp. i know some of the questions sounds stupid but im just make some music thats all.

Thats not possible with the Axiom, it has no audio capabilities whatsover, its just a midi keyboard/controller.

You can use the Axiom to 'play' the instruments, but it is Reason that is generating the sound within the PC, you can then route this audio signal to your soundcard, then route your soundcards output to either a mixer of the mpc.

I think maybe i'm not getting exactly what you're meaning.

Do you mean that Reason is triggering the sounds on the MPC or vise versa ?

If that is the case:-

On mpc, Hit Mode -> Pad 9
Click on Midi tab (should be there by default)
At the bottom where it says pad to internal sound, try changing that setting to Off, or On, again, not sure of your problem so not sure that what i'm talking about will mean anything.

no scrub that last bit, doubt its your current problem, but what that does is ....

You can have the MPC play the Reason instruments via the pads, similar to using a keyboard, but if that last bit is set to 'on' when you hit a pad on mpc, it triggers mpc sound plus sends the midi signal to Reason and triggers whatever instrument the midi is connected to. Setting it to 'off' will mean that when you hit a mpc pad, only the Reason sound will trigger.

Explain more what your problem is, now you've got it set up

Ok I dont want the reason sounds coming from the mp at all but i want the mp to recognize and record the sounds from the keyboard via midi connections if you want i can give you my phone number and you could talk me thru it, if its cool with you because you seem to know your stuff and i would greatly appreciate it.

Okay,

So you want to play the Axiom, have the Axiom triggering the Reason instruments/sounds BUT have the MPC record the midi data the Axiom is sending to Reason?
