here's the basic problem. i'm getting random high pitch pops/clicks/static when tracking out into cool edit pro or any other wave editing programs on my PC.

i've tried the following 2 setups:
1. MPC1000 (Main Outs) -> Mackie Mixer (RCA Outs) -> PC (RCA In)
2. MPC1000 (SPDIF Out) -> PC (SPDIF In)

both have resulted in this random click. sometimes i get it, sometimes i don't. but it's irritating as **** because it slows down my workflow when i have to re-record tracks (on top of synching everything correctly) into my DAW.

anyone run into this? do i have a faulty MPC1000? i'm using good cables so i don't know what else could be the problem. any help or suggestions would be dope.

upon further investigation it seems like it's my PC that's causing this **** annoying static click sound. i left cool edit on for a few minutes and recorded some silence (unplugging everything from my sound card) and i noticed that the static only occurs on the RIGHT channel. man wtf.

anyone on this board have a similar problem?

Hey , I just had to return a brand new mpc1000 cuz there was a faulty left stereo input.
It would make so much static that i would have to shut it off , I'm talking crazy.
But I was just learning so I was freaking out, thought it was everything but the mpc ,
ended up replacing everything . Come to find out it was the port on left side.
So i suggest wiggleing the wires in the rear if it makes pops and clicks worse just by
the touch, then it might be the mpc. good luck!
