alright so im cheap and havent spent $80 on a pass for 5.53, but
there should be a universal setting for this instead of having to do each track individually, and i found
out about formatting your hd with switching from os to os the hard way,
anyways carry on,

What is so frustrating about formatting the hd and cf that makes you wanna trash your mpc?
You have access to a pc don't ya? Yeah you do cause you couldn't be posting on this forum if ya hadn't.
Copy everything to the pc , format and copy back.
If it's 1000's of file's just start the copying and go out, don't just sit there banging your head against the wall cause it ain't going fast enough for ya.
And a pass for OS1 5.53 is US$ 30.00 not 80
Also , first you're saying "alright so im cheap" and 5 lines further you're calling AKAI cheap cause they should have paid roger linn
. And you're saying "SUXORS"

On an other note , i'm also having problems with recording mutes.
Don't know how i record them , but they get there.
If only the jj os would memorize the setting of the "use events" option this wouldn't be a problem.
There's not a lot of people having this problem so i wonder if it's a user problem.
I'm using OS2 now , i hope this will be the end of that mute prob.
