Hi,

I've fully read the jjos manual so kindly available on this site and think the jjos is far superior to the akai.

i am just struggling with 2 things.

1 is there a way of applying mixer changes to a track rather than to individual pads

2. when i create a 8 bar song from a set of 8 of the same 1 bar sequence with say kick drums, snares and high hats on three seperate tracks, when i add some synth via the audio track on trk 58 the song stops after the first sequence has played out rather than proceeding to the next 7 sequences to create the beat for the song? am i doing something wrong here?

thanx 4 ya help

hey.

1- in os1, you can go into GPE and hit WHOLE, which will apply the changes to all pads. this is the same thing as applying mixer changes to the track. in os2, there is a TRACK MIXER, which is more specifically along the lines you're talking about.

2- i'm confused by your wording. are you saying that you have 8 sequences, each of which are 1 bar? that seems like a LOT more trouble than it's worth with all the switching from seq to seq. however, if i get your question right, audio tracks and song mode have a conflict in that song mode can only play 1 similar audio track, ie it can't "Switch samples" for the audio track seq by seq.

now, if you turned your 8 one bars seqs into 1 eight bar seq, you would have no problem...!

Cheers,

On the sequence issue Ive made a beat which consists of three tracks T1 HHat T2 Kick T3 snare, these roll for 1 bar, ive then gone to song and placed eight copys of the 1 bar sequence to make an eight bar song to add my synth lead via audio but when i add the audio the song just plays 1 bar of the eight which make up the song????? Does that make
sense?

Thx

OK Ive just gone away and put together an 8 bar drum pattern using 4 tracks, T1 Highhat, T2 Snare etc.

Then Iwent to record 8 bars of audio from my csx 2 ontop. When I played it back the synth recording only played 4 one bar of the eight then made like a beeping sound which once i deleted the audio synth track was still audible on the sequence no matter which drum track I muted.

VERY aannoying!

Any ideas what this is?
