Yeah I use it. Good for freaking diff melodies and drum patterns

yes its really good within grid edit. loop edit i think JJ calls it.

you can mess with timings, tuning etc of any recorded patterns(live played stuff or step sequenced patterns) while the sequencer runs, something you can't do with any of the other editing modes as far as im aware.

co-sign. this is how i use it. changing the parameters while the sequencer runs is great fun.

i don't use pattern mode all the time, but i play around with it from time to time & get some interesting results that eventually end up becoming parts of finished works. i would really like to see pattern mode expanded a bit (example: be able to trigger a pattern from pads, send midi note out for arpeggiator use, greater pitch shift range)

certainly couldn't live with out it now.

i wish jj would introduce a midi track version of pattern -
if your track was set to [midi] instead of [Drum].
and also gave you 2 extra octaves for the patterns note range.
this could be output to midi to control your outboard synths
like a step sequencer.

i was expecting pattern to be able to play external midi synths -
i'm disappointed it doe's not do it.

me too, would work as an arpeggiator

yeah, i also thought you'd be able to assign the pattern to a pad i.e. hit a pad and it would trigger a mini sequence of notes rather than just one.
I think JJ was thinking of this at first cause he removed the midi note parameter from the main screen to do it for a while.

This is one of those features that I never expected, and now find that I can't live without. I just wish you could use it for 32nd notes... But this is just nit-picking. Can't wait to see what else JJ will come up with.

i only experiement with it, i do all my stuff realtime record. i do use it, and i could live without it also.
