"people are caught up with the latest and greatest."

That's why I always buy things used. I just got my Canon HV20 for $550 Currently $999) a 15inch macbook pro 2.33 dual core for $900, a Sony DSC-H9 8.1mm camera (Currently $449)on craigslist. I'm glad people like to have the newest gear as soon as it comes out. I've saved a lot of $$$ from them suckaz and that's just stuff I've bought withing the past 6 months!
But yea peeps, keep letting that pride thing get in the way. You may feel better buying and bragging about the newest biggest, baddest edition of a product, but I'll feel even better buying it from you three months later on Ebay for half price! Come on MPC5000! I'm waiting on you! HAHAHA

I'm also by no means a photographer, however seein as I handle the web side of things for myself and most of the people I know, I've been forced to learn a few things over the years.

Basically, for current artwork 90% of what we use is digital - meaning no actual photos taken. My man I've known since grade school went to college for all that AND he's nasty with a pencil and paper, so he usually starts with a sketch that he scans in and just goes crazy from there.

Myself, I use a digital SLR and lately have really been into the HDR thing - it just looks amazing to me and I think it's a cool effect.

And check this out too, all graffiti:

Photoshop is my best friend though. A few basic techniques for photo work are all I have under my belt, all of which I learned from freebie tutorials out on the net.

Yeah the Canon HV20 is a dope camcorder for real. It's not hard to find the HV20 around that price anymore for the simple fact that the Canon HV30 dropped last month. The Canon HV series has a "thick" community of people. Kinda like how the MPC has a big community. All owners with that cam should know this site ... http://www.hv20.com

On a side note ... Are those your beats on that myspace page in your sig?? They sound dope.

But that's all you were saying. Basically in so many words ... "just f*ckin use a regular camera dumbass" lolol! You never mentioned Photoshop which I now understand (with research) is big of you want to achieve an certain quality.

Them pics were pretty fuc#in' incredible! I looked at all of them. Graffiti can be such a beautiful thing when the right person is holding the can! I hate seeing wack garbage..gang signs etc which does nothing but make a neighborhood look bad.

"just f*ckin use a regular camera dumbass" lolol!"

Nah.. haha, I'm never that blunt, but yea, the beats on my page are produced by me...when I find time..and when I get in the mood to create, which isn't very often! :)

By the way your talented on the beats.

i never said that. the thread title was "a quality camera for album covers", not software, so no, I didn't mention photoshop.

Lamp

I know you never said that. I'm saying that you came off that way.

Since I was looking for a certain quality in pictures I was under the impression that you needed a good camera for album cover quality photos. There are good photos and there are great photos. Regular cameras can take quality picture but I was looking for another level for album cover pictures. If you understood what I was trying to achieve then you should have mentioned photo shop off the top.

Don't be mad (because I'm not). I don't expected you to know everything on these forums.

lol, nah, i aint mad at all, I just don't appreciate when people do the "so what your sayin" or the "what you meant to say was" thing on me, lmao. I say what I mean and I mean what I say... lol... unfortunaltey on the net seems like you gotta choose super nice words before anyone will remotely recognize that you are not mad or angry. hate the net but I can't get enough of it, lol. but you said camera so i didn't into ps at all.

ok, now, get into ps for that other level, haha.. there are some really great photoshop tutorials online that explain in detail how to do everything, i run up on some from time to time that simply amaze me and renew my interest in aps..
