JJ OS1 TRIM Mode / Sample Selection

Am I missing the point, if I don't find a way in TRIM MODE
to select the prior/next sample in memory to be edited
without moving the cursor to the upper left (Sample-Name field)
and turn the encoder?

Is there no prior/next sample hot key?

TRIM displays the last tapped sample from GPE or PGM mode

I think this is really annoying, if you want to
edit a couple of samples after recording in one go,
but for sure, it depends on your workflow.

In my case, I sampled some drum sounds from the Proteus
into one big sample. After converting this sample from stereo to
mono and normalising it, I use the chop function
to roughly cut this big sample into single drum sounds.
IMO, this has the advantage that you don't need to mess around
with sample naming that much, e.g.

SK1-1, SK1-2, SK1-3, ...

is automatically generated.

Afterwards I want to cut the samples using the discard function,
while benefitting from the big view, so that zooming isn't necessary at all.

I really would profit from sample change by a hot key.

Haven't you ever missed that function?

not really, cuz at this point i've already got the samples assigned to a pgm
and rather than scroll through the long sample list from "kick" to "zildjian" i'll just hit the right pad from another screen.

but it is a good idea, there are enough "Free" pads and buttons that a "next sample" function would be helpful.
