Hello everybody ! can anyone recommend a good sample CD with a large selection of quality, clear sounding single hits. Fat snares, deep kicks , powerful toms, Some china cymbals too and ethnic drums. I've seen some Eastwest cd's but they are mainly loops, with a limited selection of single hits. I just want a great source sound that would go nice with a reverb. Any help would be appreciated, Mark

Another dumbass comment ! these topic responses are a joke !!! :D

1. I don't have a real acoustic kit to sample from !

2. I don't want any sketchy hip hop beats !

3. I want instrument seperation which cannot be had from sampling from noisy crackly vinyl or cd's.

4. I just want to know what a good sample cd is ! not how to sample, that's easy ! if I wanted to do it but I don't have $3000 of mics to achieve the quality level I am looking for.

Some helpful comments would be appreciated NO MORE STUPID WISEGUYS !!!!! :)

How hard is it to listen to some rocktracks.... find nice sounding beats, find them solo and sample.... with a bit of luck it will take you half a day to get a nice selection of rock drum samples that no1 else has...... YOU WILL SOUND ORIGINAL MAN NOT AS THE OTHER CAT ON YA BLOCK WITH THE SAME SAMPLEPACK.....

Look man im trying to help you but i dont use sample cd's for this.... with a bit of effort its not necesary..... elseway look on ebay or something seems they got a samplecd for everything on that site :P

Hi ! thanks for the useful comment. I will try to listen out for some 'solo' hits in music collection. I can see your point about being original and the MPC is a wonderful creative tool to have for this. It might take some time but probably worth the effort. Yeah ebay has a lot of sample cd's but without hearing them it's hard to commit. I just thought somebdy on here might have some strong recomendations from the 'ocean' of stuff out there. Anyone know any sample cd's with different china cymbals and splash's ?? also Tribal drums ?

Any help really appreciated, Mark
